Well, this time was a lot less stressful than last time. Apparently everything looks fine; the stent is working and in the right place, everything’s closing where it should be closing, and the doctor was puzzled as to why I’m still having the problem that I am. He suspects that because I’ve had strictures for so many years, the bladder had become stretched over time and now that things are flowing normally, the muscles are weak from the extra slack, so to speak. So I’ve got some drugs, and I go back and see him on Tuesday to get the scoop. In the meantime I’ll be wearing track pants and sweats until this catheter is out. Except I only have one pair of track pants and no sweats, so a trip to Meijer may be in order.
